PA 211 Northwest
Contacts in the PA 211 Northwest region are handled by the PA 211 Southwest contact center. The PA 211 Southwest contact center is managed by United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and now connects people in 30 counties across Pennsylvania to vital human services. Our resource navigators are available by phone, text and chat 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year. Resource navigators assess the needs of each person and offer connections to more than 10,000 agencies that update their listings with us regularly. Resource navigators often follow up to determine if needs have been addressed and provide additional support or resources. Our 211 contact center also provides connection to services such as Free Tax Prep appointment scheduling and referrals to staffers trained to help people access digital devices, low-cost internet and technology use training. We constantly update our database of local human services agencies to which we refer people in need. The PA 211 Southwest contact center was originally founded In July 2011 to serve Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Fayette and Westmoreland counties. It now serves 30 counties and is among the largest and most robust 211 contact centers in the commonwealth.
